| Australia 2013 Year of the Snake Gold |
The main release for September is the highly anticipated 2013 Year of the Snake from the Australian Lunar Series II. Featured to the right is the Gold Version. Made from 99.99% Pure Gold in 1oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz versions, each as magnificent as the next. Also available is the three-coin set featuring all three sizes.
Gold may be Grand but Silver is not far off.
The Perth Mint has also released Silver versions weighing in at 1oz, 1 Kilo and for the first time 1/2oz. Same as the gold, the silver variations are available in a three-coin set.
Also released in September, the 1/2oz Silver Red-Tailed Black-Cockatoo Proof Coin, the first in the new Birds of Australia Series. Another addition to the Young Collectors Animal Athletes series features the Rhinoceros Beetle, known for its incredible strength compared to its size, it is said to be able to carry 100 times its weight on its back.
