The Royal Mint has recently released an entire line of Coins to Commemorate the 2012 Olympics being held in London. This Silver - Gold Plated coin is an exquisite 28g proof coin celebrating the 2012 London Olympics. A truly special feature about this design is that the design was chosen from an open competition for all UK Art and Design students.

2012 marks the 60th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's ascension to the throne and there has been many magnificent releases celebrating such a grand event. She is only the 2nd Queen to hold the crown for over 60 years. This $300 Queen's Diamond Jubilee 22gm Gold Proof Coin is a world's first. This coin is the first of its kind to have the diamond inserted during the minting process instead of being layed in after minting the coin. This makes for a unique design because you can see the diamond on both sides of the coin.
