Excellent article about Smart Silver Investing.

This article is a great article about Silver.  The author David Morgan makes many points as to why silver is a great investment to help diversify your investment portfolio.  Use this link to read his article: How to Make Money Investing in Silver

Two great Silver investments are Bullion and Numimatics.  The Bullion bars and coins available today usually is worth its weight plus a small 5-7% premium.  Numismatics will cost more than Bullion because unlike Bullion they are limited in Mintage and sizes.  The fact that they are hard to find gives Numismatics a Collector Premium.

Australia 10oz Silver Bar

Neither investment option is garaunteed but history has shown that both have grown exponentially.  An ounce of Silver two years ago was about $15/oz and now trades for about $35/oz.  Likewise a 1oz Numismatic coin from New Zealand sold in 2009 was worth about $43 and is now selling for over $100.  Both types gained over the last two years even with the Economic roller coaster the world has been riding.  More coins and bars like this are avaialable at www.coinmerc.com.

Great Article I found today about Numismatic Collectible Coins sold at Coin Mercantile

It is not always easy to explain why coins are worht more than their face value.  I found an article today that helps clear the mud very well.  We have always believed that Numismatic coins are for Investors and Collectors.

Coins found from around the world are often times worth more because they are hard to come by.  Coin Mercantile has always specialized in doing the research required and importing as many world coins as possible for our customers.  Most of our coins are rare coins with very high purity.  Like this coin Belarus 2008 100 Rubles for the 2010 Olympics in Figure Skating only had 500 minted in the world.  This and many others from around the world grow in value over time because they are near impossible to find, even with the revolution of the internet.
